Mithi Dal (Moong Dal) Recipe

Ingredients:
- 1 cup Yellow Moong Dal (Roasted)
- Water for boiling and consistency adjustment
- 1-2 Green chillies (as per taste)
- ¼ tsp Turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- Tempering:
- 3-4 Tbsp Ghee/oil
- 2 slices Onion
- 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
- Garnish:
- Chopped mint leaves
- Chopped coriander leaves
Instructions:
- Roast yellow moong dal until fragrant.
- Wash and pressure cook dal with salt, green chillies, and turmeric powder.
- Mash to a smooth consistency and adjust with water(prepared dal should have a runny consistency, view below image for better understanding)
- Temper the dal:
- Heat ghee in a pan.
- Fry onions until golden brown.
- Add ginger garlic paste and fry until fragrant.
- Garnish with chopped mint and coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with Chapatti or Paratha.
