Jaggery Murmure(Puffed Rice) Treat
- Prep Time: 5 mins
- Cook Time: 5 mins
- Total Time: 10 mins
- Serves: 6-8
Ingredients:
- 250g Jaggery (adjust to taste)
- 500g Roasted Murmure (puffed rice)
Method:
- Melt jaggery into syrup.
- Cook for 1 minute to reduce moisture as it gets frothy.
- Add murmure to molten jaggery; mix well.
- Spread on tray; let cool.
- Separate rice puffs until still warm.
Tips:
- Make murmura ladoo by rolling warm mixture into balls.
- Add crushed nuts for a nutritious cereal or bar.
Namkeen Murmura(Puffed Rice)
- Prep Time: 10 mins
- Cook Time: 5 mins
- Total Time: 15 mins
- Serves: 6-8
Ingredients:
- 2-3 Tbsp Oil
- 2 Split green chillies
- Few Curry leaves
- Handful Peanuts
- Few sliced dry coconut
- Few Raisins
- ¼ tsp Turmeric powder
- Chilli powder (to taste)
- Salt (to taste)
- ¼ tsp Chat masala
- ¼ tsp Sugar powder
- 500g Roasted puffed rice
Method:
- Heat oil in wok.
- Add chillies, curry leaves; let splutter.
- Add peanuts, coconut and raisins ( or nuts of choice); fry for a minute.
- Add turmeric, chilli powder and switch off the flame
- Mix in puffed rice, chat masala, salt, sugar.
- Garnish with chopped onions (optional).
Tips:
- Store airtight for longer shelf life.
